Known for having one of the most spacious bathing platforms in her class, the new Bavaria 45 Cruiser is a flagship for mid-sized yachts. With more beam aft, having twin rudders is necessary, and this is also to ensure predictable steering during higher angles of heel, which a centre line single rudder sailboat can only achieve during a very deep draft. What’s even great is that it has an extremely durable dual Lewmar system that is not likely to give problems. Furthermore, the rudders can be possibly used independently in case of a steering failure of the other side.
